DISCOVER TOGETHERDuring Discover Together, you‘ll learn what it means to be a Member here at Together. Hint: It has nothing to do with being ‘in’ a physical church, but all about being The Church. You’ll also get an overview of the equipping, serving, and connecting opportunities available to help you grow in your faith, meet other believers, and get involved.

BAPTISM

The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Christ. Baptism allows a believer to communicate to the world their heart-felt commitment to follow Him. The Bible defines Baptism as:A sign of identification (Acts 8:36-38)Symbolic of death and resurrection (Romans 6:4-5)Representative of a cleansing (1 Peter 3:1)Important step of obedience in Scripture (Matthew 28:19-20, 1 John 2:3)Baptism isn’t what saves you, but it’s an outward symbol of your inner commitment to follow Christ. In a way, baptism is a lot like a wedding ring. The ring doesn’t make you married, but it’s a symbol of your love and devotion to your spouse, and that your life is being lived for someone else.

DISCIPLE GROUPS

At Together Church, we believe no one can stand alone in their journey through life. It is essential that you have people in your life that care for you and keep you accountable, people that you can serve our greater community with, and people that help you grow closer to Christ. All of this happens through Disciple Groups. Disciple Groups are small groups of people (typically 8-12) that meet once a week at various times in a leader’s or host’s home. A typical night in a Home Group would be food and hanging out, then a discussion about the past Sunday’s sermon where you can go deeper into the message – all while developing close friendships with people just like you.

VOLUNTEER

Sunday mornings at Together are all about seeing people discover God. But it can’t be done without a host of volunteers making it happen on Sundays and throughout the week. Furthermore, these teams are where people get to know each other, build relationships, and have fun doing it!
